The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) below will give you a basic overview of how to use this list:

How do I subscribe?

You can subscribe using this form.

How do I unsubscribe?

You may unsubscribe at any time by changing the settings in (or deleting) your Mobilize account.

What is Mobilize?

Mobilize is the platform we use to host our listserv. Think of it as a cross between a Facebook group and a traditional email list. If you want to contact the group, you can post directly to the Mobilize group or send your email to this address: communitywriting@groups.mobilize.io. Either way, your message will be emailed to the entire group, just like you it would with a traditional listserv. You’ll also always have a searchable database of all the old emails/posts on our Mobilize community page.

How do I email the listserv?

You can email the entire group by sending to this address: communitywriting@groups.mobilize.io. You can also email the entire group by posting your query directly to the community page. Either way works just fine!

If I reply to an email sent to the list, will my reply also go to the entire list?

If you “Reply All” to an email sent to the list, then your reply will also be sent to the entire list. If you only “Reply” to the sender, your email will only be sent to the sender.

I’d rather just receive a single daily digest email. Is that possible?

Yes! Within your Mobilize settings, you can choose (1) to receive every post via email, (2) to receive a single daily digest email, or (3) not to receive any emails at all if you’d prefer to just check the community page for new posts.

Is it possible to use Mobilize like a traditional listserv?

Yes! Once you’re signed up, you can choose to use Mobilize just like you would a traditional listserv. You’ll send emails to communitywriting@groups.mobilize.io to email the list.
